Blogspot Blogging Basics (BCube) Series

Blogging is the in-thing at this moment, and many newly set up blogs are introduced into blogosphere each day. Recently, a friend requested me to provide some “guidance” in setting up her blog, and because I find it difficult to allocate time and arrange live one-on-one sessions, I eventually came up the idea of the Blogspot Blogging Basics (Bcube) Series. Furthermore, I hope that this series will benefit not just my friend, but any beginners who are keen in starting their own blogs.

What To Expect?

Skoyu is where I will share my Blogspot Blogging Basics (BCube) Series. In this series, I will offer my two cents’ worth on setting up and designing a blogspot blog. Unlike existing blogspot design guides, I will not only be talking about the “how” of things, but also the “why” (a skoyu original!). I guess this will help readers understand why I am including or excluding certain features from my blog. Any changes to the blog will be documented here in skoyu, in the hope that this will benefit and add value to everyone’s blogging experiences, especially new bloggers using blogger.com.

Why Blogger.com?

We have chosen Blogger.com to begin with because it offers a free blog and allows manipulation of codes at free will. We will start with the Minima template and work our way through to customize the blog the way we like it. In our journey, we will be using mainly free tools to build the blog.

Expected Learning Outcomes

Well, I want to test how well I can customize a blogspot blog as well as the flexibility that blogger.com offers. Hopefully through this journey, both you and I can learn something and apply to our blogs. Most important of all, we should have fun along the way. Also, I have concurrently commenced Photobie Lessons for Beginners. I hope that these two complementing series will help readers improve their blogs and value add to their blogging experiences.
